RIP Paul Walker.
Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker has died
in a tragic car crash, in which he was the passenger, the car appeared to crash
and then burst into flames, from which neither passengers could be saved.
Paul Walker starred in 5 out of the 6 Fast
and Furious films to date with the last film being released in May 2013, and
the current film was currently in the middle of filming. He also started in
various other drama/suspense films, in particular a film called Hours, which is
set to release this month. The film may gather a bigger audience than expect as
fans may watch in a tribute to his death, to celebrate his life.
But the question is, what now for the Fast and Furious franchise? With the lead man gone, can the franchise be as successful as it always has been? I’m not entirely sure what they will do with the latest film or ones to follow; will they replace him with a different actor or write the lead character out of the film? Who knows? But personally I can see the next film making a lot of money because fans of the franchise though a lot of the main actor Paul Walker and will watch in remembrance, but I cant see the franchise being as successful in films to follow after.
