So Children in Need has come and gone for another year. The charity
show was hopeful in beating last years total of £26m and they did it, they
managed to raise above £31m. With the amount of money they raise each year
getting greater and greater, who knows when it will stop. They are doing a fantastic job in raising and
using the money for good causes.
But for me personally things could be done so much better, with a decent range of acts and better advertising the sky is the limit when it comes to fund raising. Obviously they don’t want to be spending masses of money on marketing, but this year I hadn't even come across an advert for the event, until hours before the programme went on a live on air. So there is definitely room for improvement there. As for the acts, I’m sure that’s just down to taste; there will be many other people that think that what is on the set list is just utter drivel. Things could be changed and if they were, the money mine they are currently sat on could be worth more than ever imaginable.
