Technology - Call Of Duty

So the latest edition to the Call of Duty franchise has just been released, Call of Duty: Ghosts. The new game made over $1bn on its release day, out selling all of the previous games of the franchise. With many people year on year slating the new releases of the game, saying that its nothing new and is a dying franchise, how more wrong could they be? With each year the new edition going on sale and each year Activision and other developer smash the previous years sales.
But aside for the hat the franchise gets, people return to Call of Duty because they know exactly what they are going to get, they are buying into a well-established brand that is know to have delivered over and over again. The trend for gaming and online gaming is massive at this moment and with GTA V just being released a couple of months ago, Call of Duty have done very well to pull they gamers to their fantastic new edition.

I think this is where Call of Duty and Activision have made a name for them selves, when people know what they will get and they are satisfied year after year with this, that’s great. The have great a fantastic brand image that people are more than happy to buy into time and time again, what they stand for is just fantastic.
