Technology - Sainsbury's goes digital

Sainsbury’s have decided that they will not be taking any orders online for physical entertainment copies for the end of February 2014. They have come to the decision because they believe that the time has passed for the physical copy, it is now the time they would like to sell only digital downloads only.
This follows other companies that offer digital downloads to customers. This for me is a great move by Sainsbury, and is exactly what they need to do if they wish to keep up with competitors. Currently there is a big shift for digital content by the public, with many younger users wanting to get all of the content online, as it is convenient and easy.
People still do like the physical copy of the content, but this can be got in high street retail stores. The online sales should to me at least offer the digital downloads if not only sell them this way.  This to me is a great move for Sainsbury’s, and will only boost their online sales, higher and higher as the years go one.
