Lifesytle - The red cups are here!


So Christmas must be here? Well soon anyway, but for now the Starbucks red cups are, with all their Christmas cheer. Coming with these seasonal cups will be their seasonal drinks that bring in increased revenue for Starbucks.
The smart way of driving customers through the door for this ‘limited’ time product is a great idea. It boosts profits and in recent years sends social media crazy! In the current trend for internet use, and more importantly the use for social media, these sorts of limited time products can thrive. In a quick search on Instagram at 18:00 today, on day one of the ‘red cups’ launching, it returned over 64,000 hits. These hits would be of images of people self advertising Starbucks, promoting this ‘limited’ time only products.

With Starbucks promoting these cups as something special to have, it gives the user the reason to share their experience online, this share online then promotes the product to basically the whole internet, and all this advertising is at no cost to Starbucks. A fantastic way to generate business.
