Primark Online

Primark have welcomed themselves to the online in the recent weeks, well more predominately anyway. They used to have a very basic website that talked about their “ethical trading” and a few images of their products. Now Primark have a new updated website with many more images of their products and now prices too. Unfortunately customers are still unable to order from Primark online, but maybe that will come in the future.
On the website you are able to look at products they currently have in store, grouped with other products to “get the look”. Users of the website can also upload images of them wearing the Primark clothes and show the looks they have created.

Primark have also just joined the world of twitter. What a great move and better late than never. The first post that Primark made was “Okay guys, we finally made it to the 21st century! Can we get a RT? #PrimarkTweets”. This says it all, they admit they are late on the scene, but have made great advancements in the technology that is dominating the advertising market at the moment. With them becoming a company that works online they will be able to get social with their customers, give of a friendly, cares about the customer brand vibe.

Overall I think that Primark have made a big but great move in the right direction. To come online is the only way to keep up with competitors on today’s market. I just wonder how long it will be until customers are able to order products directly from Primark online.

Other images are Primark and Twitter screen shots.
